I just wanted to write up a quick blurb on what everyone can expect the next few weeks, which is not much unless someone wants to write a guest blog entry or two for us. And that is simply because I'll be getting married in a mere 12 days and as I am sure many of you know, things are hectic and will only be getting even worse the closer we get to October 9th! Then it is off to Jamaica for a week for the honeymoon. While the warm weather and beach will be nice with my gorgeous bride, I can't say that I won't be missing NC's (hopefully) chilly mid-October weather and the way the woods look this time of year. Oh well, lots of hunting in November to do!
But before all that, I have one more Saturday to get it done right now, and with colder weather moving in again this coming weekend, I'll be on stand hoping to finally get another crack, aka actually take a shot (0 for 1 in my bowhunting career over the past 6?, 7? years), at my first deer with a bow. Also, we'll be posting up a two-part series on recovering game. I'll be taking the lead and posting the first part sometime later this week with pre-shot things that are very important when it comes to recovering any animal you have decided to shoot, even though most people don't think about these things before they pull the trigger or release an arrow. Paul is going to follow that up with what to do after the shot, believe me, the guy is a bird dog when it comes to tracking, even more so than me. That about sums it up for right now, don't miss us too much as work continues to kick our rear ends during our favorite time of year!
