Ah the last days of June and down here in NC we are going to be dealing with a scorcher after being spoiled the last two days with perfect Summer weather here in the South. Hopefully this video of the 2010 Teva Mountain Games' Kayaking Competition by Go Pro cools you off some just by watching it!
-C.B. Since my plan was to finally get my boat out on the lake tomorrow, I've been in a fishing frame of mind all week. Unfortunately those plans are now dashed since the vehicle we were planning to tow the boat with just isn't going to work thanks to some not up to par NC country boy engineering (thanks a lot previous Jeep owner!). BUT that isn't going to keep me from sharing a picture that makes me want to march my booty 100 yards down the hill to the river in the morning, so, ladies and gents, here is the Inside Out Photo of the Week, courtesy of HDRcreme.com.
-C.B. As I said awhile back I was going to send out my BPS trigger to have some work done on it because it was just too heavy! I estimated it was close to 7 pounds which in my mind is just to much; I prefer a much lighter trigger and many of my other guns have one so the BPS was just a bear to shoot.
I found Precision Sports and had heard of some good reviews concerning them so I decided to send the trigger to them. After mailing out a $70 check along with my trigger assembly, I had my trigger back in about 10 days. I got the trigger assembly back into the gun and did some dry firing with a snap cap and boy oh boy is the new trigger great! I emailed the gun smith and asked him what the trigger was before and after. He said that it came in at around 8 lbs and when he sent it back it was 3 lbs and crisp! Let me say, I have to agree with him as the trigger is very crisp. I'm very impressed with the work and it came at a great price, so ff you have any trigger needs or other gun work needs please contact Precision Sports on their website or give them a call (all of their contact information is on the website). If anyone has any questions or troubles getting the trigger assembly in or out see my previous posts with some linked videos or send us an email and I can walk you through the steps! Thanks again Precision Sports!!! -Paul Nicolucci Wednesday means it's Video of the Week time and for this week we turn to the boys over at Montana Wild. They put together a (long) short about fly fishing in the crystal clear trout waters of their beautiful state, so without further ado here ya go!
-C.B. Like I said on Wednesday, Friday's we would be bringing to you a photo that we've either dug up from our collection or one we found while browsing the net that we just had to share. For the inaugural Photo of the Week I was going to go with a picture that came across my Facebook News Feed today which was a photo of a riverside Wisconsin sunset. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it again, so this go around I'll go with one of, in my opinion, the best pictures I have ever taken. With that said, enjoy the view of a distant Grandfather Mountain basking in the morning sun on an October morning.
-C.B. I've been wanting to get more multimedia on the site for a while now and after finally getting around to doing so (also known as not being lazy), I've decided that a weekly thing would be a good thing to bring to our readers. With that said, from now on, Wednesdays will see us bringing you the video of the week. Either something Inside Out Outdoors has put together or a video we found online that we really think you would like to see, hopefully you'll like what you see. And if not, as always, leave us a comment on the blog post and tell us what you DO want to see from us. Also, be on the lookout on Friday's for the picture of the week. The same idea as the video of the week, it'll be a picture that either we've taken or found online and want to share with you guys. Up first for video of the week is a quick little clip of our buddy Chris and myself shooting our bows last summer that I put together while bored and working on the road earlier this year. Oh, and be ready to feel like you are in the 1910's as this clip has no sound (if only it was the next Casablanca!).
