I'm heading up to New York to do some trout fishing this coming weekend. I'll be fishing Owasco Lake. The NY fishing regulations can be found here. Owasco Lake is 177 feet deep at its deepest point, about 11 miles long and 1 mile wide at the widest point.
I've fished this lake most of my life. The lake has many species of fish to offer including, but not limited to: Largemouth, Smallmouth, Lake Trout, Rainbows, Brown Trout, Walleye, Northern Pike and Yellow Perch. I'll be doing most of my fishing on the northern end of the lake, fishing with live bait for Trout.
I'll post updates throughout my trip and show you common rigs and bait used on the lake.
