- Take breaks at least every 30 minutes, some people advise every 15 minutes if the activity is strenuous enough. And be sure to take these in the shade, but I bet you knew that already.
- Drink plenty of fluid, but not too much. It doesn't need to be all water though as we lose electrolytes when we sweat. Replenish these with a sports drink such as Gatorade or some electrolyte tabs you just drop into your water.
- Wear loose fitting clothes to help keep yourself cool and if you can, make sure your shirt is long-sleeved in order to help protect you against the sun.
- Speaking of the sun, lather up with sunblock too! Healthy skin = cancer free skin.
